AIM

To provide a platform to experts/organizations of South Asia working in the field of child development.

To promote regional cooperation among experts and bring uniformity in approaches to locally adapted best practices solutions for the benefit of children with special needs of South Asian countries

To facilitate implementation of UNICEF’s convention on the ’54 rights of the children’ in South Asian countries.

Promote family centered approach for child neurodevelopment and well being.

Promote early intervention and holistic management of Neuro Developmental Disorders (NDDs).

Access and develop effective, indigenous assessments/intervention tools/techniques for therapy and prevention with cultural sensitivity and regional focus.

To emphasize environmental influences on child health and Neurodevelopment and suggest regionally appropriate remedial measures

Advocacy with government for policy planning & implementation for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of NDDs due to pre, peri and post natal health & environmental hazards

To investigate the role of epigenetics and genetics for optimal neurodevelopment

To identify role of vaccines in prevention of NDDs

OBJECTIVE

To provide platform for affiliation and cooperation among developmental pediatrics and other child development bodies in the region

To have association with international organizations/bodies/agencies working for child development and rehabilitation

To be the resource platform for providing directory of child development experts in the region

Interesting case presentation through online seminars on SANBEPA platform

To conduct annual conference of SANBEPA in association with the national conference of the participating country

To provide networking opportunities and starting of fellowship programs and facilitating student exchange programs

To enhance the skills, capacity and capability of individuals working in the field by conducting appropriate workshops, trainings, certification & diploma courses.
